Itinerary:

Day 1 Depart Newark Airport for your overnight flight to Italy. Dinner and Breakfast served onboard.

Day 2 Arrive in Taormina/Catania: Arrive in catania and transfer to your hotel in Taormina, a lovely resort town built on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Check into your hotel where you can unpack and relax for the remainder of the day or you can explore the sights. (Hotel Diodoro or similar)(Dinner Included)

Day 3 Taormina: After breakfast you will enjoy a half day tour of Taormina with your local guide, a lovely resort town built on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Visit the famous Greek Amphitheater, offering a splendid view of Mt. Etna and the seascoast and featuring fine artifacts from classical and early Christian periods followed by a visit to Villa Comunale. In the afternoon enjoy some free time to explore some of the local shops specializing in fine embroidery and lace. (Breakfast and Dinner Included)

Day 4 Taormina: Enjoy a half day tour to the peak of sicily's mighty volcano Mt. Etna the largest active volcano in Europe (weather permitting). The remainder of the day is yours to relax. (Breakfast and Dinner Included)

Day 5 Taormina/Siracusa/Agrigento: After breakfast, depart for Agrigento. On the way we stop in Siracusa to see its Archeological park featuring the Roman Amphitheater, Greco-Roman edifices and greek theater. Your guide will take you on a tour of the Park's excavations including the "Ear of Dionysius" and the Roman Temple. Agrigento Delle Valle Hotel (Breakfast and Dinner Included)

Day 6 Arigento/Sellinunte/Palermo: After breakfast we visit the "Valley of the Temples" featuring the temples of Zeus, Concord and Hercules. We then continue on to Palermo, Sicily's capital city, situated in a bay at the foot of Monte Pellegrino. On the way we will stop at Sellinunte to see the famous 5th Century Greek ruins. Dinner this evening at a local restaurant. (Grand Hotel Et Des Palmes or similar) (Dinner Included)

Day 7 Palermo: Enjoy a half day guided tour of Palermo, which includes a visit to Monreale, with its spectacular Duomo famed for its' 12th and 13th centuries mosaics; the Spanish Quarters; Palatine Chapels at the Palace of the Normans, one of Sicily's geatest art treasures. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore on your own. You may wish to visit St. John of the Hermit's Church and the Benedictine Abbey with its Old and New Testament mosaics. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant. (Breakfast and Dinner Included)

Day 8 Palermo:: We depart early for Cefalu to visit this charming medieval town and its splendid medieval cathedral, built in the twelfth century during sicily's Morman era, with free time to visit the mountaintop archeological site, which as a Sicanian-Gree temple, the ruins of a castle and a great view of the coast, or enjoy a more leisurely stroll of the town's narrow streets, full of shops and pleasant sights. Our Farewell Dinner will be at a local restaurant. (Breakfast and Dinner Included)

Day 9 Palermo: After breakfast, transfer to Catania Airport for your return flight home with fond memoires of Sicily. (Breakfast Included)
