The
Bobby Byrne Show |
is
a unique blend of music
that features Broadway show-stoppers, Irish ballads,
Italian arias, hilarious novelty numbers, Elvis
Presley
rockers and old time sing-a-long songs. Bobby will
often segue from a foot-stomping medley of Elvis
Presley rockers to a classical aria like "Vesti
La Giubba" from "Pagliacci". Then,
before you can dry the tears after that one, he'll
have you laughing at something called "Bridey
Murphy and the Kamikaze Pilot".
Unfortunately,
to describe his show by its content does nothing
to convey the effect this man has on an audience.
In this age of electronic entertainment, Bobby Byrne
is a throwback to another era, a time when performers
lived
or died on their merits in front of a live audience.
Those were the days of Jimmy Durante
and Al Jolson, Fanny Brice and Sophie Tucker, of
Judy Garland and Eddie Cantor. Each of those great
performers from the past was proud to be known not
as a singer or as a recording artist or a television
personality or a comic, but simply as an "entertainer".
Bobby is a favored entertainer of many other celebrities,
having performed at parties hosted or attended by
George Steinbrenner, Rudolph Giuliani, Donald Trump,
Mary Higgins Clark, Lee Iacocca, and David Dinkins,
to name just a few. He has played Carnegie Hall
twice, the PNC Arts Center several times, the Philadelphia
Academy of Music, and on the main altar for the
centennial of St. Patrick's Cathedral. He has performed
in Atlantic City's casino hotels as well as in the
hotels and cabarets of Germany, Cancun, the Bahamas,
Hawaii and New York. In Washington, D.C., he has
performed many times on Capitol Hill, where many
House Representatives, Senators and Congressional
staffers have become ardent admirers. He has hosted
and entertained 700 Bobby Byrne fans aboard the
MV Horizon on a cruise to Alaska, and thousands
more on custom "Bobby Byrne Tours" to
Ireland, Italy, Canada and Spain, New Orleans, Las
Vegas, Branson, and more.
"Entertainer"
is the one word that sums up the essence of Bobby
Byrne.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Set sail from Cape Liberty, Bayonne, N.J.
Day 2-3-4: A Leisurely day at sea
Day
5: Charlotte Amalie, ST. Thomas.
St. Thomas is known as an idyllic vacation spot today, but its
history is not so peaceful. In the 18th century, the island was
at the center of a bustling pirate culture, as swashbuckling pirates
such as Blackbeard and Drake traded stolen wares in the port of
Charlotte Amalie. This world-renowned Caribbean island is home
to amazing beaches, gorgeous sea and landscapes and unbelievable
duty-free shopping.
Day 6: Basseterre, ST. Kitts
With dormant volcanoes, pink beaches and gorgeous green hills,
St. Kitts is a beautiful backdrop to your Caribbean adventure.
Founded in 1623 by both the French and the British, the island's
deep colonial history is reflected in the abandoned fortresses,
as well as its landscaped gardens, city squares and architectural
details.
Day 7: Castries, St. Lucia
Famous for its twin peaks shaped by the upheaval of a now extinct
volcano, St. Lucia is one of the truly unspoiled islands in all
the Caribbean. Here you'll find a variety of landscapes and eco-systems
not found anywhere else in the region, including rain forests,
mountains and beaches that truly deserve the "pristine"
designation.
Day 8: ST. Johns, Antigua.
The first settlement on the island we now know as Antigua was
not established until the 1600s, when English settlers arrived.
Antigua remained a part of the British Commonwealth until its
independence in 1981. Today, Antigua is a popular vacation destination,
attracting tourists with its ideal climate, 366 beautiful beaches,
amazing landscape and leisurely lifestyle.
Day 9: Philipsburg, ST. Maarten.
When the Spanish closed their colonial fort on St. Maarten in
1648, a few Dutch and French soldiers hid on the island and decided
to share it. Soon after, the Netherlands and France signed a formal
agreement to split St. Maarten in half, as it is today. Philipsburg
displays its Dutch heritage in its architecture and landscaping.
The island offers endless stretches of beach, beautiful landscapes
and great shopping.
Day 10-11-12: A Leisurely day at sea
Day 13: Arrive Cape Liberty, Bayonne, N.J.
