The
Bobby Byrne Show |
is
a unique blend of music
that features Broadway show-stoppers, Irish ballads,
Italian arias, hilarious novelty numbers, Elvis
Presley
rockers and old time sing-a-long songs. Bobby will
often segue from a foot-stomping medley of Elvis
Presley rockers to a classical aria like "Vesti
La Giubba" from "Pagliacci". Then,
before you can dry the tears after that one, he'll
have you laughing at something called "Bridey
Murphy and the Kamikaze Pilot".
Unfortunately,
to describe his show by its content does nothing
to convey the effect this man has on an audience.
In this age of electronic entertainment, Bobby Byrne
is a throwback to another era, a time when performers
lived
or died on their merits in front of a live audience.
Those were the days of Jimmy Durante
and Al Jolson, Fanny Brice and Sophie Tucker, of
Judy Garland and Eddie Cantor. Each of those great
performers from the past was proud to be known not
as a singer or as a recording artist or a television
personality or a comic, but simply as an "entertainer".
Bobby is a favored entertainer of many other celebrities,
having performed at parties hosted or attended by
George Steinbrenner, Rudolph Giuliani, Donald Trump,
Mary Higgins Clark, Lee Iacocca, and David Dinkins,
to name just a few. He has played Carnegie Hall
twice, the PNC Arts Center several times, the Philadelphia
Academy of Music, and on the main altar for the
centennial of St. Patrick's Cathedral. He has performed
in Atlantic City's casino hotels as well as in the
hotels and cabarets of Germany, Cancun, the Bahamas,
Hawaii and New York. In Washington, D.C., he has
performed many times on Capitol Hill, where many
House Representatives, Senators and Congressional
staffers have become ardent admirers. He has hosted
and entertained 700 Bobby Byrne fans aboard the
MV Horizon on a cruise to Alaska, and thousands
more on custom "Bobby Byrne Tours" to
Ireland, Italy, Canada and Spain, New Orleans, Las
Vegas, Branson, and more.
"Entertainer"
is the one word that sums up the essence of Bobby
Byrne.

Your Itinerary:
Cape Liberty, Bayonne, N.J. Day 1 | Day 15
This is the first new cruise port in New Jersey in 40 years. It
offers guests outstanding views of New York Harbor, the Verrazano
Narrows Bridge, the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan.
Portland, Maine Day 3
Long ago, ships relied on the steady glow of a lighthouse to guide
them from rough waters to port and safety. Today, visitors to
Portland can visit the oldest lighthouse in Main, one of a swiftly,
dwindling number left in North America, standing guard over picturesque
Portland Harbor. You will also find a lively city with a broad
range of architectural styles and a charming section known as
Old Port, where visitors can enjoy a romantic walk through quaint,
lantern-lit streets
Halifax,
Nova Scotia Day 4
The metropolitan capital of Nova Scotia is known as the "City
of Trees." You may be surprised to find much more than just
flora when you arrive at this explorer's paradise. Halifax is
a city of pleasant contradictions, with a vivacious urban area,
charming small towns and stunning natural scenery. Museums, galleries,
historic sights, vibrant gardens and world-class dining are just
a few of the many things to take advantage of in this well-rounded
metropolis.
Sydney,
Nova Scotia Day 5
This urban center of Cape Breton Island is home to many nationalities
from African Canadian to Eastern European, with cultural activities
for all. Here you can find the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in
Baddeck or the Cabot Trail. Natural wonder abounds in this bustling
Canadian port city.
Charlottetown,
P.E.I. Day 6
The capital city of Prince Edward Island is not only a central
starting point for exploring the beautiful island, but also a
charming host to Victorian architecture and the historic Charlottetown
waterfront.
Quebec
City, Quebec Day 8 | Day 9
Learn to say, "Wow, c'est veritablement beau ici!" means,
"Wow, it's truly beautiful here!" Revel in the French
heritage of lovely Quebec. You will find a delightful combination
of modern city and historic town sitting atop a bluff overlooking
both the St. Charles and St. Lawrence rivers. You can walk cobbled
alleyways past old stone houses, churches and abandoned military
fortifications, or take a scenic drive along the St. Lawrence
to cascading Montmorency Falls and the famous shrine of Ste.-Anne-de-Beaupre.
Gaspe,
Canada Day 11
National Geographic magazine lists the Gaspesie as one of the
top 20 worldwide destinations to visit. The only destination selected
in Canada, the Gaspesie is among world renowned destinations.
Located on the south side of the St. Lawrence, this peninsula,
with its rugged but breathtaking landform, is the continuation
of the Appalachian range. Caressed by the waves of both the estuary
and the Gulf of St. Lawrence, it is literally chiselled by multiple
clear and fish-filled streams. It encompasses many parks and reserves,
and its forests, beaches, cliffs and meadows form an immense sanctuary
for fauna and flora. It is a true Garden of Eden, where one can
absorb the natural beauty of the environment.
Bar Harbor, Maine Day 13
You may discover an overabundance of people going incognito in
Bar Harbor. Many of the rich and famous spend their summers here,
enjoying every inch of this beautiful port town's rocky coastline,
mammoth granite cliffs and majestic mountains. Known not only
for its succulent lobsters, Maine is also renowned for blueberries
- another treat that shouldn't be missed.
